Samurai Training in Tokyo: Swords, Bushido & Mental Discipline
■ Experience Overview
Train like a real samurai—not as a tourist, but as a warrior in practice.
This immersive experience takes place at a traditional dojo in Tokyo’s Kojimachi district, once part of Edo Castle’s inner grounds where samurai honed their sword skills.
The training begins with learning samurai etiquette and the spirit of Bushido, followed by breathing techniques and meditation to calm the mind. Then, you'll move on to basic wooden sword drills, strength training with a heavy practice stick, and silent walking exercises that test your balance and focus—like a ninja.
You’ll continue by learning real combat sword techniques and apply them in one-on-one sparring with an instructor. As a final challenge, you’ll test your precision by slicing paper with a real sword.
During the break, enjoy authentic matcha green tea and traditional Japanese sweets in a quiet, cultural setting. At the end, you’ll receive a personalized scroll-style certificate with your name and the techniques you’ve learned. You’ll also have the chance to wear traditional samurai attire and take a commemorative photo.
The entire experience is conducted in English and is beginner-friendly.
This is a rare opportunity to go beyond sightseeing and truly become the samurai.
Minimum 2 participants required.

Train in Samurai Swordsmanship and Defeat the Demon
■ Experience Overview
Welcome to Chiyoda, Tokyo—the land of the samurai.
Once home to warriors who survived the turbulent Sengoku era, this place still echoes with their spirit.
In this immersive two-hour adventure, you will be reborn as a modern samurai who “carries a sword in the heart.”
You will undergo intensive training in real swordsmanship passed down for centuries,
learning the foundations of samurai etiquette, breathing techniques, posture, and kata (forms).
In the climactic final chapter, you will come face-to-face with a fearsome Demon(Oni) — a creature born not of fantasy,
but of the fear and weakness that reside in every human heart.
This is not a test of technique, but of inner strength.
Only when you overcome the challenge with courage and the support of your comrades,
will you truly take your first step as a modern-day samurai.
